Gemini & Scorpio
Invite you to
A Steamy Party Night at the Russian Baths
Saturday, Dec 19, 7pm-2am, 21+
Banya, 602 Coney Island Ave bet Beverley Rd & Ave C, Kensington, BK
Details and tickets: http://www.geminiandscorpio.com/events.html
FB: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=225288546170
Break out your bikini or swim trunks, and join us and our hand-picked crowd of artsy, different, funky (and nearly naked) New Yorkers for the glorious return of Gemini & Scorpio's legendary Russian Baths party. We will have the newly remodeled & sparkling clean baths to ourselves, with every steam room and sauna ready to please, plus a few hand-picked professionals on hand for the optional platzas and massages. Inside, Zlatne Uste, a 10-member Balkan brass band best known for throwing Golden Fest, NYC's biggest Balkan party - now in its 25th year, will get you sweating faster than the saunas, playing two sets, at 10pm and 12am. Our longtime favorite DJ Joro-Boro, former resident DJ of the infamous Mehanata (Bulgarian Bar), keeps the dance floor sizzling with his hot EthnoMesh Megalophonia mix while we dole out pierogies for everyone. Plus, enjoy: jacuzzi and cold plunge pool; poolside dance floor; rooftop smoking deck; hookah lounge, poker and chillout rooms; authentic and delicious Russian food in a private restaurant room. There will be an open vodka bar 10-11pm. The cash bar will feature drinks at decidedly non-NYC prices.
Three ticket levels: $85 (7pm entry + open vodka bar + multi-course Russian banquet) /$50 (9pm entry + open vodka bar) / $35 (11pm entry). More details on each ticket tier are on our website. Only 100 tix on presale -- 50 more at door -- event tends to sell out in advance.
This is the kind of party you always imagine, but can never quite find in real life...and the only one where you'll come out cleaner than when you came in.

FLASHING LIGHTS ONE YR ANNIVERSARY feat. Toddla T!!
FLASHING LIGHTS is the neon brainchild of some of the city's most beloved selectors: DJ AYRES (responsible for 7+ sweaty years of The Rub parties at Southpaw), NICK CATCHDUBS (remix/mixtape phenom and co-founder of the hit indie label Fool's Gold) and JUBILEE (BK bass sweetheart behind her own newly minted Nightshifters imprint).
Come celebrate the one year anniversary of the party on Saturday, October 10th at 88 Palace in NYC - joining the FL residents is UK prodigy TODDLA T, who's signature mix of dancehall vibes and electronic club jams has made him an in-demand DJ and remixer for the likes of Little Boots, Ladyhawke and many more, and his original jams are just as funky - check the downloadable mixes at toddlat.com for the proof. Soundbwoy!
