York Night Train’s weekly rough and ready maximum rock’n’soul get-down rings in 2011 in a big
way! Once again New York Night Train has assembled a super-special New Years program! This combination of rock show, dance party, and afterhours (a few blocks away), featuring
performances by the NYNT family from far and near, is gonna hands-down be the best one yet!
and for only $10!
Experience live performances by (1am) the legendary KID CONGO POWERS backed by the swampy seance of the K-HOLES (they're also performing a mini-set of their own!), (12am) the anthemic thunder of STALKERS, (11pm) the over-the-top glam of Los Angeles' HAMMERED SATIN, and (10pm)
the long-awaited return of the adorably poppy BABY SHAKES.
And get down to the most distinguished and exciting 45rpm dance party DJs out there:
Washington, DC's musician/man of letters/television personality IAN SVENONIUS, NY Night
Train/Soul Clap and Dance-Off maestro MR JONATHAN TOUBIN, Smashed! Blocked!'s garage and freakbeat lord JOSH STYLES, and, early on, one of the world's foremost power pop, glam, & bubblegum authorities Radio Heartbeat's WILLIAM MARTIN!
Since we've decided to make admission a recession-friendly $10, get there early and RSVP to Toubins website to make sure you get in.
To get it hopping early we're offering free entry before 9:30pm and crazy drink specials
before 10pm. Of course there's a FREE CHAMPAGNE TOAST at midnight as well... Also, Home Sweet Home debuts their new special VIP room with an internationally famous band DJing - but your admittance there is not guaranteed. Finally, follow MR JONATHAN TOUBIN, JOSH STYLES, and
special guests around the corner for a 4AM TO 10AM AFTERHOURS at a not-so-secret secret spot
(that will be known to all of you who have ever spent New Years or Wednesdays with New York Night Train - if you can't figure it out, maybe you weren't meant to be there)...

Upon returning to Brooklyn, they convened a meeting of the jet-settingest artists, performers,
DJs and bands from the borough and beyond. They pow-wowed with the investors, attorneys and

York Night Train’s weekly rough and ready maximum rock’n’soul get-down rings in 2011 in a big
way! Once again New York Night Train has assembled a super-special New Years program! This
combination of rock show, dance party, and afterhours (a few blocks away), featuring
performances by the NYNT family from far and near, is gonna hands-down be the best one yet!
and for only $10!
Experience live performances by (1am) the legendary KID CONGO POWERS backed by the swampy
seance of the K-HOLES (they're also performing a mini-set of their own!), (12am) the anthemic
thunder of STALKERS, (11pm) the over-the-top glam of Los Angeles' HAMMERED SATIN, and (10pm)
the long-awaited return of the adorably poppy BABY SHAKES.
Blocked!'s garage and
freakbeat lord JOSH STYLES, and, early on, one of the world's foremost power pop, glam, &
bubblegum authorities Radio Heartbeat's WILLIAM MARTIN!
Also, Home Sweet
Home debuts their new special VIP room with an internationally famous band DJing - but your
admittance there is not guaranteed. Finally, follow MR JONATHAN TOUBIN, JOSH STYLES, and
special guests around the corner for a 4AM TO 10AM AFTERHOURS at a not-so-secret secret spot
(that will be known to all of you who have ever spent New Years or Wednesdays with New York
Night Train - if you can't figure it out, maybe you weren't meant to be there)...

A New Era of in Flight Entertainment Begins In Brooklyn This NYE!

...It was the day before Thanksgiving. Winkel & Balktick stood under the airport's fluorescent

that their nail clippers would not be discovered, they wondered, "What happened to the
glamour, excitement and joy of air travel?"
Upon returning to Brooklyn, they convened a meeting of the jet-settingest artists, performers,
DJs and bands from the borough and beyond. They pow-wowed with the investors, attorneys and
regulators. The runways were clear and all systems were ready for takeoff.
On New Year's Eve, W&B Airlines will debut its 45,000+ square foot terminal of love in a

We invite you to view the exhibition Expectations and to celebrate the 2010 Celeste Prize Award, December 11-13 at The Invisible Dog Art Center in Brooklyn.
The Celeste Prize is an international contemporary art prize that allows artists from all over the world to be democratically brought to the view of curators without the process of studio visits. Manon Slome was nominated to be a juror for the prize and curator for this year's exhibition titled Expectations. Ten artists respectively were selected for venues in Berlin and New York City.
In this project, No Longer Empty's goal is to convey the message of Expectations, conceived as an exhibition that uses
image less for purposes of representation than as a tool for setting something into motion- whether it be action, emotion, a state of being or becoming.
