SUPERMODELDEATHDIVE* presents a super huge party at Matchless dedicated to:
*BROOKLYN ROCK N ROLLERS AND SOUL CONTROLLERS*
Starring:
*SORCERESS*
Glitter rock boogie *MONSTERS* from Brooklyn, The *SORCERESS ROCK AND ROLL BAND* are lovers of all that moves, grooves, and glitters. Think T. Rex, Slade, Big Star, Pink Fairies and boogie boogie boogie. More Importantly these are men of fastidious fashion and hair, what else need be said?
*RUNAWAY SUNS*
60's Psyche-pop re-imagineers, *RUNAWAY SUNS* are gonna get you lost in their dreamscape sitar drone, baby. If you need comparisons, think SF Sorrow era Pretty Things, but once you hear them your foolish categorizations will fall by the wayside AS YOUR BRAIN MELTS! Also far-out fashions and hair, don't let your girlfriend stare too long.
*THE ABOVE*
They are the Mods! They are the Mods! They are, they are, they are the Mods! *THE ABOVE* fuckin' rock, thats it. OK OK, you have to have your comparisons, so we'll hold your hand: Pretty Things waaay before SF Sorrow, Nuggets, Sonics, Kinks, you know, the good stuff. Their trousers aren't flared and their hair is shorter but these boys ain't no slouches on the fashion front either: A+ style guaranteed!
PLUS! PLUS! PLUS!
You will be entertained *ALL NIGHT LONG* in the main room by our *ALL FOXY LADY ROCK AND ROLL DJ KREW* consisting of:
*DJ BRENDA BRAND*
*DJ GLAMOURPUSS*
*DJ LEAH LUGOSI* (of Nouvellas fame)!
Get your dancing shoes on cuz these
*STONE FOXES* shall be rocking *GLITTER*, *GARAGE*, *PSYCHE*, *PUNK*, and *SOUL* till 4AM!

Prima Donna, The Dirty Shames & The Threads!
Sunday at 8:00pm - July 26 at 12:00am
Location The Bowery Electric
327 Bowery at 2nd Street
New York, NY
Created By
Bowery Elektric, Mick Stitch, Lisa Lush
18+ $8
8:00 - DOORS
8:30 - THE THREADS
An evolution of the lower east side staple LES Stiches, The Threads are fairly new to the scene. Don't let this fool you, though. These music industry vets deliver a distinctly amazing engergetic punk show not to be missed!
http://www.myspace.com/threads
9:30 - THE DIRTY SHAMES
Having been described as a cross between The Ramones and early Rolling Stones, The Dirty Shames have managed to stir up quite a buzz in and around New York City. Their frequent live appearances have helped build a following that transcends boundaries and brings people from varying scenes together for the love of rock n' roll.
http://www.myspace.com/thedirtyshames
10:30 - PRIMA DONNA
A five-man high-energy machine, Prima Donna has just returned from supporting Green Day the past 6 months in both Europe and Asia, and the band features Kevin Preston of Foxboro Hot Tubs (Green Day's side project). Clearly inspired by early punk groups such as X-Ray Spex, the Ramones, and the Sex Pistols as well as '70s glitter such as Mott the Hoople and David Bowie, the group's sharp n' concise songwriting sidesteps any notions of the group being "retro." These guys live it, all year 'round, on the road, in the studio, in the street.
