THE BARRACUDAS (REDUX)
THE BARRERACUDAS
BABY SHAKES
The Barracudas were a UK band formed in the late 1970s, notable for their 1980 hit single "Summer Fun" which reached number 37 in the UK singles chart. Originally perceived as a novelty surf act due to their early material, subsequent recordings showed them to be a fierce garage rock'n'roll band in the mold of the 13th Floor Elevators and The Seeds, with the pop sensibilities of the Sire-era Flamin Groovies, the Byrds, and Beau Brummels. The band also notably featured Chris Wilson of the aforementioned Flamin Groovies, and Australia's Jim Dickson (Passengers, New Christs, Radio Birdman).
Jeremy Gluck, lead singer and pop mastermind of The Barracudas, takes you back to the "other eighties," with an all-star ensemble of supreme young power-pop phenoms playing all your favorites from the first two classic Barracudas LPs!
Plus: BABY SHAKES (Brooklyn) and THE BARRERACUDAS (Georgia)

DENNIS COFFEY
Dennis Coffey is best known for his instrumental funk smash hit "Scorpio". His guitar work is also featured on many of Detroit's greatest recordings, Motown and otherwise.
THE DIRTBOMBS
One of Mick Collins' many post-Gories projects, the Dirtbombs initially seemed to exist more in concept than in reality. As if in reaction to the bass-less sound of the Gories, the Detroit-based band brought together two drummers, two bass players, and Collins on vocals and guitar. And other than consistently loud volumes and lots of noise, the Dirtbombs actually displayed a surprisingly diverse sound, composing across a broad spectrum of styles from garage rock, punk, and glam to classic soul and R&B.

SWITCHBOARD #4
Switchboard is a night of musical transposition with guest vocalists and DJs curated by Telephoned
Switchboard will be a night based around music being "Telephoned" - the process of transforming a song into something new by refocusing it through the artists unique lens
Not just another generic "dance party", Fools Gold artists Telephoned will invite special guests to participate in the "Telephoned concept" using live performance and DJ sets to create the hip 2011 version of the speakeasy cocktail singer lounge.
Guests will play music relating to their own understanding of the concept, a mixture of strict cover songs, tasteful mash-ups and era-fusing remixes. They will be doing something aside from their usual approach, attracting their fan bases to see their unique one of a kind performance at this customized music experience.
this month's guests:
Tanlines (live guitar with DJ set) & Queen Majesty
with your host: Good Peoples
and residents: Telephoned
