•Robert Jack
January 13 – February 12, Anatomy of the Eye
Josée Bienvenu Gallery is pleased to present “Anatomy of the Eye”, Robert Jack’s fifth solo exhibition in New York. Robert Jack’s work is based on microbiological systems and processes, making visible essential aspects of life that are overlooked due to their imperceptible scale. The exhibition consists of two bodies of work: a group of seven new paintings based on the way the eye perceives reality in different species, and a collection of intimate scale drawings.

Brad Garton and Damon Holzborn: mobile audio apps
Brad Garton and Damon Holzborn will be showing a framework for rapid prototyping and development of iPhone and iPad apps. Based on a port of the ancient and venerable RTcmix music/DSP language to iOS and a Max/MSP prototyping environment, it makes iOS app creation so FUN! so EASY! so DELIGHTFUL! You too can be an APP BILLIONAIRE! Example apps (such as iLooch) will be shown and hawked shamelessly in an effort to break-even with the Apple iPhone app developer fee.

Hullabaloo! SAT Feb5
Born Loose,Foster Care,
45 Adapters, Jigglers
DON PEDRO
90 manhattan ave
Saturday, February 5 at 9:00pm - February 6 at 3:00am
It's 2011 and time for us to get back to the business of rocking and rolling!
So, what better place to reee-turn to than the ur-cave of garage-punkitude, that hallowed hall of hellish hilarity, at one time even known as "Death Cult Headquarters USA"... DON PEDRO!
Yes, the Don is under new management but familiar faces abound, including the very welcome face of Mr. Jake Noodles.
Naturally we're starting off with the biggest bang New York can provide with an all-local bill topped with our new garage/punk favorites, BORN LOOSE. This bunch featuring Larry May (ex-Candysnatchers) turn in the sweatiest sock-to-your-jaw rock'n'roll we've seen in quite some time from a local band.
But that's not all-- joining us once again will be the unbeatable street punks 45 Adapters and the sax-blastin' Jigglers.
Not to mention Charles and Shimmy manning the wheels of steal once more as the age-old (and quite stained) Hullabaloo banner is lifted into its rightful place atop the Don's stage.
So make plans now to come out to the NEW Pedro, better than the OLD Pedro on Saturday, February 5th !
