Bananas #3 Party w/SATAN'S YOUTH MINISTERS, EXHUMANS, FOSTERCARE @STVITUS
8:30pm
Location Saint Vitus
1120 Manhattan Ave
Brooklyn, NY
Short notice on a Shocking Sharp Show *this coming Thursday night* at Greenpoint's newest and already best venue/bar of all time, SAINT VITUS.
It's time once again to release into the world the new issue of BANANAS, New York's garage punk zine! We're celebrating by throwing a show in St Vitus's gloriously dark back room with Alabama's hottest sleaze merchants, SATAN'S YOUTH MINISTERS. They might look metal but ...we can assure you this is 1000% rock'n'roll and not to be missed.
Supporting this bunch in their unholy crusade into the night are Brooklyn's own EX HUMANS and FOSTER CARE, who will undoubtedly besmirch this incredibly fine stage and trillion dollar sound system with their lo-fi raunch.
Please note that this is an EARLY SHOW ! Doors at 8:30PM and first band on before 9PM !!! Do not miss this triple threat action. You have LITERALLY no excuse (LITERALLY).
After the show, the Bananas crew will be throwing down the platters that matter into the wee hours including many new releases covered in issue #3 and the good ol' classics.
Come early, come often, come hard! Remember this will be your FIRST chance to get a copy of issue #3 (FREE) which is sure to disappear quickly...

The Midnight Society
Indelicate Performance + Illustrious Games of Chance + Late Night Dance Party
To the Beautiful and the Fearless,
Here is the story of your Friday night: Venture into North Williamsburg to mix in the heat and passion of a dance floor fueled by liquor, bass bins and larger than life acts throwing down in the way that only Brooklyn can bring...
We’ve taken over a century old polish dance hall (legal space!) and brought a gorgeous mess of music led by the infamous Big Freedia and dj Rusty Lazer (need a taste? click here.), plus old-school kings DB versus Jason Jinx, house classics from renaissance dj Barney Iller and the thick sultry vocals of Lauren Justin. All on a sound system that is larger than life...
In the wooden room explore a cavalcade of brass, string and old-timey blues from a menagerie of Brooklyn’s best brass bands including: Crooks & Perverts, Apocalypse Five & Dime, Eden & John's East River String Band and Roosevelt Dime. When was the last time you got boozy/sweaty with a room full of brass? Friday night is calling you.
The Midnight Society is a new underground adventure featuring full-scale gambling, secret rooms and the indelicate performance spectacle that is the Midnight Menagerie led by Seanna Sharpe.
The sound system is perfect, the casino games are real. Your Friday night? ...exquisitely out-of-control.
