The Suffolk is a neighborhood bar/ performance space in an abandon public school house. At first glance it looks like a church, and it could very well have been one, I never did get confirmation on that. The décor is an eclectic mix: green, worn couches, frames hung haphazardly leftover from the old public-school cafeteria that used to occupy the space, and random mementos picked up from production sets (a mantel from Baby Mama, coffee tables from Law & Order).
This hidden gem is like Brooklyn but in the convenience of the L.E.S.
107 Suffolk (Between Riving ton & Delancey)
Nearest Transit Delancey-Essex Sts (F, J, M, Z)
VIVA LE VOX is a ragtag group of ne’er do-wells hailing from the swamps and shores of southeast Florida. They have a sound that’s hard to describe, influenced by everything from the sleaziest Tin Pan Alley jazz to the most sordid punk rock.

at the bell house
MON 5/9
7pm Doors / 8pm Show / $5
Secret Formula presents:
TV PARTY: TWIN PEAKS
Why stay at home and watch tv, when you can go to the Bell House for a TV Party? There will be themed cocktails (The White Lodge/Black Lodge, The Red Room, The Leland Palmer), party games, team trivia for prizes and Twin Peaks influenced ridiculousness galore.
We're transplanting the Bell House to a creepy logging town in rural Washington, where a beautiful naked corpse awaits discovery. And just like the show, this event will be full of campy mystery. Along with our favorite Twin Peaks episodes, we'll be doing some of this...
- Backwards-talking contest
- Miss Twin Peaks pageant
- Doughnuts and coffee
- Search the club for hidden clues leading to the location of the tightly plastic-wrapped Laura Palmer Barbie Doll
- Chess-match-of-death against local chess wizard, Alexander Seth Marcus
- Fortune telling and advice from the Log Lady, herself!
- Owls, lots of owls
TV is so much better with a group of like-minded friends. TV geeks unite! We're dedicated to our favorite shows, so many of them canceled before their time. From Secret Formula's Jerm Pollet and Michael Austin - the team that brought you the Raspberry Brothers, Spoons Toons and Booze, and Sing-Alongs.
